Shortly after 1am on May 8th, two children lost their only parent, Carlos Cruz.
Carlos was raising his sons, Sincere and Tristan, as a widowed father. Carlos tragically lost his partner, Tristan and Sincere's mother, in 2019 due to a brain aneurysm.
Carlos worked tirelessly through the worst days of the COVID-19 pandemic at UMASS University Campus in Worcester, Massachusetts. Even though he worked long hours in brutal conditions, he always took time to shower his sons with love and create lifetime memories with them.
Carlos was in the process of purchasing a home outside of the city for his sons. Their safety, their security and their well-being was always his first priority.
Carlos was a loved and cherished son, brother, father, cousin and friend. His sons are surrounded by family, friends, and community. However, they are young and need help as they grow up without either parent.
