FromCaregiver Back to Music Teacher

La Vola Robindeaux, gifted jazz vocalist, drummer, guitarist and pianist who performed from Las Vegas to San Francisco, died on August 26, 2018.
Because our friend La Vola so unexpectedly left us, we are in sudden need of some funds for her cremation, memorial, and a few months of transitional help for her partner and caregiver, Michael Ann Burnett.
Thanks to a caregiver’s stipend from the state, Michael Ann had been able to cut her cello teaching practice by half to care for La Vola for the past few years after La Vola suffered a disabling stroke. Now Michael Ann is faced with the challenge of doubling her teaching practice immediately, in order to keep her home, her car, and make ends meet.
The reality is, doubling a music teaching practice takes several months, even for a very experienced, wonderful teacher such as Michael Ann.
Whatever support you can offer toward La Vola’s final needs, and toward Michael Ann’s transition-back-to-full-time teaching, will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you,
