Care 4 Kris
Donation protected
Kris is a dedicated detention sergeant for Denton County Sheriff's Office in Denton, Texas and a childhood cancer survivor of Stage IV Wilm's tumor. He beat cancer once. On August 21st, 2018, our nightmares became reality when we went to urgent care to further investigate what we thought was pneumonia. He was told his right lung was consumed by cancer around it, called mesothelioma. He immediately began chemotherapy and showed a tremendously positive reaction to it. Now in order for Kris to have hope to further survive this aggressive cancer, he must undergo a procedure called extrapleuralpneumonectomy on February 6th, 2019. That means removal of his right lung and the lining around it, half the sac around his heart, and half of his diaphragm. He will encounter a hospital stay of no less than a month at St. Luke's Baylor hospital in Houston, Texas with his wife, daughter, and mother at his side. We deeply appreciate any assistance you can provide with travel, food for his family on their travels, parking fees, and anti-stress chocolate for his wife.
