Raising money for Michelle Haines cancer treatment

On May 25, 2022 my beautiful sister Michelle called me, crying, and said she had fallen when she was walking the dog and needed my help getting up. I rushed straight over to her house. When I arrived she was laying on the living room floor unable to get up or even sit up. I tried to help her but the pain was just too much. I called the ambulance about 45 minutes after she fell.

She arrived at the ER and waited for a CT scan on her back. Hours later the ER doctor came in with devastating news and very bluntly said, "your back is fractured because cancer has spread from somewhere else in your body and made your spine weak".

Michelle was admitted to the hospital for the next 8 days while the doctors tried to figure out where the cancer started. After many test, my beautiful sister was diganosed with stage 4 breast cancer, and there is no cure. She is 41 years old. Even though the doctors can't cure it, they do have a treatment plan. Cancer was found in her bones, liver, lymph nodes and right breast.

On June 8, she started 10 days of radiation treatment to her spine for pain relief. Currently she is on day 4, and the pain is so much better. She left the hospital in a wheelchair. She can now use her walker and walk a short distance unassisted, which really warms my heart. The last day of radiation is June 21. When radiation is done she will start her cancer treatment. The goal is to stop the cancer from spreading any further.
