Tom Pappalardo is my lifelong best friend Christy (and Angel and Max)'s dad. I grew up without my dad, and Mr. P was always there to step in. He picked me up every day after school, made me meals, included me in all family activities, and shared his love of classic rock music. He cared for and embraced me more than any other man in a selfless, everyday way. This is to say nothing of his support for his own family. For years, Tom has worked on his feet during the night shift while still waking up in the morning to shovel snow, take the dog out, or make everybody "egg in the holes."

Recently, Tom was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer. He has had surgery and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Unfortunately, this treatment is incredibly expensive.

I know I am not the only one out there whose life he has touched. I will never be able to repay Mr. P for his positive impact on my life, but I hope that together we can show up for him as he's shown up for us.
