At 10 months old, Zoey suffered abuse and neglect that left her with a traumatic brain injury, a fractured skull, and in a medically induced coma for almost two weeks. She's had a few procedures and surgeries since then to fix the fractures in her skull.

Recently, some of the pins that held a plate in her head, became dislodged and have surfaced through her skin, which is painful and a huge infection risk. Her neurosurgeon made the difficult choice to perform surgery 12-24-25 to fix the protruding hardware. We're being told, she will need more surgery to replace her entire plate eventually. We don't know if that will be next week or next year.

Zoey is so stressed over normal 20 year old things, like shaving part of her hair, missing work, and worrying her family at Christmas. But what she shouldn't have to worry about is how to pay her bills, crushing medical debts, or the possibility of being homeless due to medical problems.
