Cameron Mitchem's Medical Bills
Donation protected
LMG friends! Remember this guy? I know my Rockery friends do. He's going through a lot of tough medical issues and has been for a long time. He's been quiet and strong about it but the fact is that there comes a time when we must all reach out for help and that time has come for our old (not too old!!) buddy.
I promised him that I could help on a campaign but he was too proud to pull the trigger. Unfortunately, he's still struggling and the fact is that he wants to be around for his kids. Pride has to take a backseat to reality and no one would ever find fault with that.
FIRST AND FOREMOST - every dollar of your donations go to Cameron and whatever % GoFundMe takes (I think it's 5%). I'm ONLY FACILITATING THE CAMPAIGN. I have ZERO financiall stake and ZERO dollars come to me. This is simply a friend helping a friend.
I have no idea how much financial help he'll need, but I know treatments run into the hundreds-of-thousands for big illnesses and insurance only goes so far. In his story you will also see a link for potential kidney donors.
Anything you might have to help will add up. Below is his story in his own words:
It’s A Wonderful Life, let’s keep it going?
We need a living Kidney Donor to help our Dad to Survive and Thrive!

In 2014, I was diagnosed with Stage 5 Kidney disease and immediately began dialysis. My session is Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 4:45 AM – 10 AM. I’ve had some complications along the way and had to wait until now to ask for help. The amount of dialysis caused issues with my heart so I had to have a pacemaker/defibrullator inserted in my chest. It fixed the issue.
My kids, John and Claire are my reasons to go through this with a smile. They’re handling it very well. Unfortunately, my marriage didn't survive all of this and I've gone through a divorce amongst everything else with joint custody of the kids.
As you know, the medical issues of this country are disconcerting. I have had to start this GoFundMe campaign to help with current and future medical costs.
I also wonder if there are any miracles out there? Maybe there are those out there interested in being a kidney donor?
Send a contact email to Uwhealth.org/transplant. They will email you a questionaire and a coordinator will be assigned.
It’s surreal, but we move forward. So, if you’re interest in donating a spare kidney, a few bucks, or thoughts and prayers. Please consider it. You know I will appreciate it! Feel free to contact me through my email or Face Book and please share this to your FB wall to pull in help.
