The eyes shed tears and the heart feels pain, but we utter only what pleases our Lord.

 

إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون

 

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Halan Raha Hassan. She was the kindest, most honest and generous person we have ever known. She raised us, her three sons, with honour and strength and good will. After struggling with severe health issues for the past two years, Allah (swt) finally saw fit to end her suffering in this dunya and return her to her to Him, the Almighty. Surely Allah (swt) does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. I ask that you all keep our mother in your dua's as we begin to navigate this world without her.

 

The Prophet ﷺsaid: “When a person dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, or beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who will pray for him.”

 

As our mother was always one to donate her wealth while she was here on this earth, I ask for the generosity of everyone who comes across this fundraiser to help my family in honouring her memory and securing her akhira, as every cent donated will be paid towards this Sadaqah Jariah (charity) project on behalf of our mother.

 

May Allah (swt) have mercy on our mother's soul. May He the Most Merciful grant our mother Jannatul Firdaws Al-A’laa. May Allah (swt) widen her grave and make it a resting place for her. May Allah (swt) Make her amongst the Shuhadaa, and May He place sakeenah in my family’s hearts and grant us the sabr to endure this difficult time.

 

All the allocated funds that have been donated will be going directly to a charitable organization that deals with building wells in rural communities in dought-stricken Somalia. This will give people access to clean drinking water for themselves and their families.

 

 

May Allah (swt) reward you all and protect you and your families.
