Buddha's Medical Care
Deducible
We rescued an adorable black bully on July 27 from Contra Costa Animal Services now known as Buddha. We knew he had been very neglected and had been through a lot in his short one year of living. He was believed to have been a bait dog. He had more than 48 dog bites on his legs and body. His ears had been over chopped and were full of ticks and infection. The worst part was he could barely even see. He suffered from entropion, and his eyelids were inside out and rubbing against his eyes. It was the worst case our vet had ever seen. He was in a lot of pain and was truly suffering. 2 months and 2 surgeries later he is past all those problems, but faces way bigger orthopedic issues.
Buddha has a torn ACL and two hind legs with grade 3 patellar luxation. He will require immediate surgery to correct both legs and get him past his pain and suffering. The surgery will cost $2800 per leg and without your financial support there is no way we can make this happen. Anything helps even just $1 will help this sweet boy! Buddha boy will gladly come give you lots of kisses to thank you!

It's hard to explain what the x-rays show, but if you look at his knees, the space between the bones should be completely grey. Both of his knees have an area that is empty/black. The left knee is worse than the right knee, and needs fixed ASAP. Both legs also have partially torn ACL's. The vet recommends hip surgery for both hips in the future, but his knee's are the main priority at this moment.
