My name is Kelly and I'm a board member with the Therapeutic Riding Center of Huntington Beach (TRCHB) and we need your support. Actually, Buckley and all her riders need your support.
Buckley is one of our amazing equine therapy horses that provides students with disabilities the opportunity to discover their greatest strengths and gain a sense of self-confidence and self-reliance through the special relationship with a horse.
Last month Buckley fell ill during a lesson; after calling the vet it was determined that she had severe abdominal pain, also kown as colic. After being transported to the vet, it was found to be more severe, her intestines were imflamed and she required immediate surgery. Unfortunately after returning home she opened her incisions and the area became infected and has spent the last 3 weeks in the hospital.
TRCHB is a non-profit organization that spceializes in equine therapy, a vet bill like this is a huge undertaking for an organization like this. I'm hoping to help them offset as much of the costs as possible - all donations will be used directly for the care and support of Buckley and her continuing vet bills.
This organization is very special to me and my family. My daughters and I volunteer several days a week and it has allowed us the chance to help other families in need and be around such amazing animals.
Help us help Buckley so she can continue to change the lives of the students who ride her.
