For 115 years, Fairview Country Market & Deli has been serving the community of Luray, VA by
providing delicious baked goods; hearty deli sandwiches, meats, and cheeses; country style candies; and
hunting and fishing supplies. It’s a warm and inviting little store with an old time country feel!
Due to the retirement of the most recent owner, Fairview has closed its doors.
Although, it has changed hands a couple of times, it has always been family operated and has become a
staple of the community. My wife, Amber, and I, Arthur, would like to carry on this tradition. It has been
my dream since I was a child to have my own business. Over the years I have worked in a variety of
businesses from restaurants to truck stops. And now I see an opportunity to realize something that I have been working very hard toward.
I grew up in a small town in Tennessee, and my family and I have lived in Virginia for the last 8 years. We
would like to make a home in this community and operate this business in a way that will make the
community and past owners proud.
We are confident and comfortable in our abilities and convictions to run this business, but we could use
some extra financial support from our community as we are going to have to completely restock the
store.
We are not asking for donations.
This is an open investment opportunity that we would like to extend to you. Our analysis and
appraisal of the business's sales history and operations give us the confidence to guarantee 50% return
on all investments. (Ex: $10 investment gets you $15 back).There is no minimum to investments…if all you have is $2 to help us out, we’d be eternally grateful to you! Every little bit helps us get closer to our dream!
We feel sad it’s closed and would love to have the opportunity to reopen it!!! We have big plans to try to help it grow but also keep that warm, small country feel it’s been known for. Inside, we are excited to make changes like expanding the bakery section with some family favorites that have been passed down! The town itself is still growing. While the Country Store has only been open Monday through Saturday, it has maintained steady profits throughout the year. We believe general advertising and targeted can help potentially increase sales among locals as well as the tourists from Luray Caverns: an attraction minutes drive away.
This is not a done deal yet. We need your help to be able to purchase the business before someone else does. But don’t worry! We are keeping very careful track of all investments so we can return all money if the deal falls through.
