Hope for Patrick
Donation protected
I’m writing this in behalf of my friend and brother in law. Most know to varying extents all that patty is going through. We don’t know what the road to recovery looks like for him. No one wants to ask for help or be a burden to anyone.
Patrick was recently diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. Since then, he has endured four brain surgeries, a second pulmonary embolism, and a cardiac arrest that left him without a heartbeat for 40 minutes. He suffered a severe anoxic ischemic brain injury and was only revived after three defibrillator shocks and the tireless efforts of his medical team.
Today, Patrick remains in the ICU in stable but critical condition. He is in a minimally conscious state.
This has been an unimaginably difficult time for his family—Mike, Denise, Chris, Justin, and April—and for all who love him. They’ve been by his side every single day over the past two months, holding onto faith, love, and the hope that Patrick can continue to heal.
The road ahead will be long and uncertain, with many needs still ahead
-Potential chemo or radiation treatment
-Intensive neuro-rehabilitation (possibly out of state)
-Major home modifications for wheelchair access
-Long-term therapy and specialized care
Again No one wants to ask for help, especially in times like this. But so many of you have asked how you can support —and for that, we are deeply grateful.
Whether you’re able to give a donation, share a memory or kind word, or simply keep Patrick in your thoughts and prayers—every bit of support means the world.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Patrick and his family during this fight. Your love and generosity bring light during their darkest days. Hopefully better days to come in the near future.
