Emergency Amputation for Amya
Donation protected
Amya, was found on July 18, 2014 on a country road in Mississippi. At first it was thought that her leg was broken but it wasn't, it was missing from right below her knee. She was rushed to a local vet clinic after hours and it is believed someone cut her leg off a few weeks ago. Although the leg had started to heal we need to amputate the rest. She is so sweet and the family that found her will be fostering her after surgery until a home can be found through Brookhaven Animal Rescue League. Please consider donating to her surgery and after care. Donations can also be mailed to P.O. Box 3477; Brookhaven, MS 39603 or through our webpage Paypal link at www.barl.net. Any funds raised over the cost of Amya's surgery and care will be put into an emergency fund with the Brookhaven Animal Rescue League for the next animal in need. They have recently taken in a puppy with a broken femur and a puppy that has old burn scars and is possibly blind in one eye (he's going through treatment to see if we can improve his vision).
