'Brury to tap' : toughest challenge yet!

This page has been created by Scarlett & Bekah from The Pippin, Maidstone in hopes of gaining support for the great physical challenge we will be embarking on next year on Monday 2nd February. We have set a goal of completing a 121 mile bike ride from Bury St Edmunds back to our pub in aid of Macmillan.

We have chosen Bury St Edmunds as this is the birth place of Greene King and still holds significance within the company, making this a meaningful task for us and the brand. Macmillan is the chosen charity for Greene king, however, it has a significant importance to us personally.

This is not our first challenge for Macmillan, but it is our most physically demanding one yet! Having purchased gym memberships a few months ago, we have begun training in all areas such as cardio, legs and arms to build the strength to complete this 16-17 hour cycle. Those of you who know us well; will know we are no Lance Armstrong! But we have and we will continue to put all our effort into becoming ready for this tough mission.

We have set ourselves a target - based on past challenges - with the aim of around £2k. We currently sit at just over £1,000 and are so so thankful to our lovely friends, families and regulars who have donated, shared and supported us so far.

Every donation, big or small, will help Macmillan continue their life-changing work.
