To know Hani is to know joy and gratitude and kindness. He is someone who has done everything in his power to lift those around him up his entire life.  He is an amazing Torontonian and generous community member here in Toronto.

So it was no surprise when he told me that after years of applying for visas for his family members and community back in Sudan, Hani successfully secured TWO diversity lottery visas for his brothers to move to the United States this year! If you know anything about these visas, they are EXTREMELY difficult to secure - about a 0.002% chance. Through determination and a little bit of luck, Hani's brothers were both approved, and so will be moving to America in the next few months!

Getting the visa is step one, but now I'm doing a bit of fundraising to help Hani's brothers pay for flights and get set up with a little nest egg in Dallas. If you'd be so kind, anything you could contribute would be so so so so appreciated.

Hani has contributed so much to the world, to our communities, and to our lives. It is an honour to give back a fraction of what he's given to us!
