Hi! I'm Maria, and I'm starting a fundraiser to help a Pre and Primary School located in Nyambori, a village in rural Tanzania.

In February 2025, while volunteering in local schools in the Mara region in Tanzania, I witnessed the harsh reality faced by hundreds of children in underserved communities. Limited resources, overcrowded classrooms, no running water or electricity… and yet, I was deeply moved by the resilience of the students and the commitment of their teachers.

At the heart of this experience was Nyambori Pre & Primary School, led by Julius Stoni. Built in 1975, the school now serves over 500 students with just 7 teachers and 6 classrooms—some holding up to 85 students per teacher.

I knew we couldn’t walk away without doing something.

What I'm Raising Funds For:

I’ve launched this grassroots initiative to support Nyambori School with urgent improvements that will directly transform the students’ daily lives.

My goal is to raise €12,782 (TSH 36,949,500) to:

• Install a clean water supply and safe sanitation system
• Build 2 safe, weatherproof classrooms
• Build a small teachers' office (so they don’t have to work under the trees!)

These are basic needs, but they are life-changing.

And I'm working hand-in-hand with the school’s principal, Julius, and the local community to make sure this support is sustainable and transparent from day one.

Why This Matters:

The school faces these daily challenges:

• Overcrowding: Some classrooms hold up to 85 students
• Leaking roofs: Impossible to learn during the rainy season
• No water or sanitation: Unsafe toilets, no clean drinking water
• No electricity: No lighting, no digital tools
• Student hunger: Many children walk 5–8 km and go the whole day without a meal
