Bring Moxie Home

Moxie is a female tabby cat that went missing from Mocksville, NC. 

She has 3 legs (her right front arm is a bone appendage that is a birth defect).  Her face, back and tail are brown with black stripes. Her belly, chest, and paws are white. 

On Wednesday, October 28th, a dog tracker followed her scent to the edge of a road in her home neighborhood.  The tracker, who has extensive experience in this field, feels strongly Moxie was picked up by a car... possibly because someone saw her walking with a limp (due to her disability) and thought she was injured.  We all recognize the dangers of her being lost and the concern over wild animals, however we still have every reason to believe Moxie is alive and someone has taken her in. We just need to raise awareness so that person will do the right thing and return our girl home to us. 

Moxie was rescued at 3 weeks old in June, 2019 and she has since become the mascot for The Dragonfly House Children’s Advocacy Center in Davie County, NC (a nonprofit where her mom works as Executive Director). Moxie spends some of her days at the center as a therapy cat. 

This go-fund-me was created to raise reward money for her safe return. If after a period of time she is not returned and the reward money is not used, then 100% of the money raised towards her reward will be donated directly to The Dragonfly House to continue their work with child abuse victims, something Moxie was passionate about. These funds will be kept in a separate account purely for the purpose described here.
