Bring Ludmila to the US for Urgent Cancer Care
Spende geschützt
Hello, my name is Joseph Lopez, I am 21 years old, and I am the son of Zinaida Lopez, who is 55 years old, and will be writing on her behalf, please read as if she is writing. This fundraiser is for my dear sister named Ludmila, who is 47 years old. We grew up together with 10 other siblings in Moldova, a very impoverished country, which at the time was under control of the communist regime in the soviet union. I was able to escape the country and get to the United States, in which I have been living for the past 24 years, and have raised a family of my own. I have always dreamed of helping my sisters to get to the United States, but have been unable to do so because of my lack of money. My sister Ludmila has very little access to medical care in her country, and was unable to frequently get checkups. One year ago she went to the doctor for abdominal pain, and the doctor did not perform any tests, but falsely diagnosed her with leukemia, and sent her home with some medicine. She ate the medication, then got deathly ill, and had to call the ambulance to go to the hospital. The hospital staff told her that she almost died, and it was because of the medicine she took, which turned out to be expired. She continued to have pain, and began to suffer from bleeding from her uterus as well. She went to the hospital 5 separate times after that, but because of the lack of decent medical care, they did not perform any tests on her, only took care of the immediate problems. She traveled to the Oncological Institute of the Republic of Moldova, which is located in the capital city, Chișinău. She took a test and was forced to wait for three entire weeks without results. Finally the results came, only to give no diagnosis due to the wrong tests being performed. She received a referral letter for a different doctor in the same institute, and after one week, she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the uterus. I want to bring her here to the United States so that she can get treatment, and that I can help her. After all the suffering she has been through, and the lack of decent treatment in Moldova, I don't see another way to help her to live. She has a son, who's name is Igor, and is 28 years old. He has some mental issues, bipolar disorder being one of them. He lives with her in poverty, and has little to eat. He only has bread to eat, and when he gets a little money to get some meat, he goes to his mother in the hospital to give her some food instead of getting any himself. Their government doesn't help their people, and I ask for your help to bring them here, and to help pay for treatment for my sister. I don't know how much it will cost, but any amount is greatly appreciated. I pray to God that she may get treated and get well, and that God may bless anyone who helps us in our situation. Thank you dearly.
