Artists statement: Hey, I’m Joshua. I wrote Ladybug after a tough time, and honestly, I didn’t think it would really connect with people I mean, it’s about a bug. But it meant a lot to me, so I started singing it to people on the street, and to my surprise, a lot of them really connected with it. Then I met these amazing film students at a park one day, and they loved the song and wanted to help make what would be my first music video. This is my first song and my first video, and I’m both nervous and excited to finally share it. Thank you to anyone who can help make it a reality

Directors satement: Hi there! My name is Lara, and I recently made the leap from my hometown of Chicago to Los Angeles to pursue my passion for storytelling. During my first week in LA, I met an incredible local artist named Joshua Benard. After hearing his original song “Ladybug,” I immediately knew I wanted to help bring it to life visually. What started as a spontaneous idea has now grown into a fully developed music video project for his original song Ladybug.

This is my first project out of college, which means it’s also my first time creating without the built-in support of university resources like free equipment, crew, or locations. We're turning to this community to help make Ladybug a reality. Your support will go directly toward renting gear, securing locations, paying our crew, and covering production costs. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us take one step closer to creating something special.
