Bring baby Charlotte home

Tyler and Elece have been married for 5 years. All that would make them complete would be to have a little family.

Finally after 5 years of trying, countless trips to Calgary and Edmonton, endless blood work, they were finally pregnant. 

On February 14th we were blessed with the news that they had a viable pregnancy. 

Preparations were being made for the little addition to their family. Cribs, cradles, blankets. 
 On May 19th they finally found out that "Charlotte" would be their little angel. Beautiful and healthy. The ultrasounds all looked great. 

A couple of weeks ago, Elece started bleeding. We took her to emergency where they did tests and could not find the source of the bleeding. She was sent home. The next weekend, we were back at emergency for the same reason. Again the same results. No reason for the bleeding and she was sent home. 

Her OB put her on lite duties at work. Her bleeding had subsided, but didn't stop. She was then put off work totally for 2 weeks. On June 4th, she was back in the hospital over night. Everything looked fine and they sent her home. By 2pm we were taking her back to the hospital. The bleeding had gotten much worse. She had started to dialate. 

So the decision was made to send her to Calgary for the duration of her pregnancy. Foothills will be her new home for at least the next 10 weeks.  They have an incredible neonatal unit.  And depending if Charlotte decides to stay put, it could be longer.

The financial burden that it will put on them will be great. Elece will have mecical EI, but that has not started yet. So things are needless to say ...tight.
