Help Bring Our Family Back Together

Hello, my name is Jesica Aranda.

My husband and I have an 8-month-old baby boy named Ismael Aranda. My husband Andres has always been a hardworking, respectful, and loving man. He has always done everything he can to provide for our family and support us.

On June 27, we were on a family trip in Laughlin on the Arizona side of the river. We borrowed a jet ski, and my husband was driving while I was the passenger. We were in a no-wave zone where the speed limit was 5 mph. At one point, my husband let off the throttle and we were simply floating. I asked him to speed up a little so we wouldn’t just drift. As he gently accelerated, law enforcement stopped us because they believed we were speeding and had created a wave in the no-wave zone.

Since my husband primarily speaks Spanish, I spoke with the officers. I explained that we were not speeding. They asked if I had seen the speedometer, and I told them I had not because I was holding onto my husband while we were riding. After the stop, the situation became much more serious.

My husband was arrested, and officers asked about his immigration status. He is now in custody and has an ICE hold. His immigration waiver has already been approved, and we were simply waiting for his immigration interview. We spoke with his immigration attorney, who explained that we now need to hire an attorney who handles ICE detention matters.

This has turned our lives upside down.

I am now trying to care for our 8-month-old son on my own while also helping my father, who suffers from kidney failure and must attend dialysis three times a week. is unable to work due to his medical condition. My husband has always been our provider and our biggest source of support. Without him, we are struggling emotionally and financially.

We are asking for help to cover legal fees, travel expenses, and basic living expenses while we work to bring our family back together.

Any donation, no matter how small, will help us during this incredibly difficult time. If you are unable to donate, sharing our story would mean the world to us.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support.

With gratitude,

Jesica Aranda

Ayude a Reunir a Nuestra Familia Nuevamente

Jesica Aranda
