Brim and Sam IVF Fundraiser

Donativo protegido
Brim and I have been trying to have a child for over thirteen years. We were advised by my gynocologist to seek help from a fertility specialist. After some testing we were told that it would be extremely unlikely that we would ever be able to naturally conceive without any assistance.  The doctor advised that we go straight to IVF (Invitro Fertilization).

We took some time to come to terms with what the doctors were saying. We even started the process of trying to adopt an infant. After going through some of the classes and finding out more information about that process, we prayed and felt that we would like to try to have a biological child before we go through the adoption process. Both are expensive, but we found that having an infant through private adoption was actually twice the cost of what IVF would be for us.

Due to my age and what that does to a woman's eggs, time is of the upmost importance. I am 34 and egg quality starts to drasitically decline after 35 according to our physician. Most of you may not know what the IVF process is. There are several different forms of IVF depending on the patients specific problem with fertility. For us the process will take about three months from start to finish. We will start with hormone injections that I will give myself for about two and a half weeks. That will be followed by a procedure called a retrieval to retrieve my eggs that were produced. For the next five days, after sperm and egg are joined, the embryos will grow. After that they are frozen while we wait for my body to get rid of all the hormones I was injected with. Then we will return for the doctor to transfer one of the embryos into my body. The final step is to get a positive pregnancy blood test; God willing.

We have decided to step out in faith and try our best to start this process in June of 2021. That is only three months away. We ask that you search your hearts and if you are willing, donate to our goal of $20,000. We ask you to be apart of our miracle. It is really hard for us to share this with you. It shouldn't be hard to admit you have something to struggle with, but pride does that. We feel God is given us this position to do something good. Yes, we hopefully get a baby from this, but we pray God uses us to somehow help others who may be going through ferltility issues.

We wanted to make this fundraiser really special so we have a puzzle that will be put together and framed to go in the nursery. The puzzle reads "I have engraved you on the palms of my hands," Isaiah 49:16. With each donation we will place the person's name on the back of one of the puzzle pieces. When our child is older, we will take the puzzle down and show our child all the names of the people who helped give Daddy and Mommy their little miracle. There is no set amount on the donation. Give what you feel God is leading you to give. Make sure to leave your name instead of doing it anonymous (unless of course God has instructed you to) because we really want you to be a part of this special moment with us. We understand that some may be unable to help by donating, but prayers are free. If you can't find the funds to help, we ask that you pray for us and our journey. Please share our story where you can. Thank you for your love and generosity. It is very much appreciated.
