Bridge to Social Security

Hi, I'm Janet and this is Bella. 

I am in the position of asking for help to get us to retirement.  I won't be eligible to collect my social security until July 2020.  I worked for Walmart for 16 years and was displaced in 2016. 
Up until a few months ago that wasn't a major issue.  However, due to unexpected veterinary bills,  tax bill and health issues, our situation has changed drastically.  I've been trying to get disability for almost a year due to vision issues.

I am unable to do the data auditing work I had done for decades and what I can do often creates issues that make it difficult to see for several days.  I have issues with my vision that keep me from doing the fine detail work necessary for my hobby crafting.  As a result, I've had to close that business.

Bella came to me as a rescue cat with several medical issues that, overall, will require regular vet visits.  While she has improved, she needs these visits to maintain that status and continue to live a normal, comfortable life.

I sat down recently and looked at all the things that need to be covered for the next few months and realized that we can't do it on our own.  I'm talking about space rent, utilities, insurance, food, and vet visits.

I admit, asking for assistance is a new and not really comfortable, situation for me.  That being said, if you, or someone you know, would be willing to help Bella and me get to our social security date next July, we would be extremely grateful.
