Hello, my names Brian I was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer in July of 2020 I am uninsured with medical insurance so this ordeal has racked up quite the bills. Here in Tennessee the state doesn’t allow a single male to sign up for Medicaid. I started treatment in august with 28 rounds of radiation and was suppose to take 6 months of chemotherapy but after the first week of 96 continuous hours of IV infusion the chemical drug caused me to have a heart attack on September 2nd, and I spent the next 4 days in the cardiac intensive care unit, luckily it only damage a small amount of muscle in my heart but caused a right. Uncle branch block arrhythmia, I had major surgery to remove my rectum, partial colon, and small piece of my prostate and 14 lymph nodes along with the tumor on and the placement of a permanent colostomy on December 1st I was in the hospital for 5 days. This coming week I meet a new medical oncologist at the Vanderbilt Medical Center so we can figure out a new chemo regimen drug. I have a 40% chance of reoccurrence if I’m able to take the chemotherapy and a 60% chance without. My surgeon had told me more than likely I’ll have some type of cancer again. Donations will definitely help take a little bit of worry off. Thanks in advance for anything you may give. I wholeheartedly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Brian
