Brianna Salo's College Fund

I am trying to raise college tuition for my grandaughter, Brianna Salo. She has had to overcome so many obstacles due to her disease, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which confines her to a wheelchair. This muscular disease affects her muscles, but not her brain. She graduated high school with honors, Summa Cum Laude, this June. She also earned the technology award for excellence in computer programing.
Brianna's dream is to earn a bachelor degree and become a software programmer. Since she is unable to move her muscles, she uses adaptive technology to learn and live her life on the computer. Her main goal is to be a positive force in society by using her skills with computers. Last month, she was hired as an online moderator for a forum on Reddit. She is proving herself to be a valuable participant in the online community.
She has been accepted to the University of Florida's Computer Science Program, which is one of the only accredited online programs that will allow her to achieve her dream from her home computer. Brianna's disease makes it impossible to attend college in person, so this online program will enable her to reach her goals.
She applied for scholarships and funding with limited succes. She still needs $4,500 per semester for tuition.
Helping my granddaughter achieve her dream would be such a blessing to her and our family. I would be grateful for any contribution you are able to make to help her dream come true.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Lowry
