Brandenburg Family House Fire

On October 7, 2022, the Brandenburg family found themselves victims to a devastating house fire. Thankfully, neither Marcia, Kevin, or their four children, Tatum, Abi, Heath or Colton, were at the house at the time of the fire. However, they have lost all their possessions, including their three beloved English mastiffs, Gunner, Mabel and Watson, and two cats, Frida and Klaus.

Their neighbors started this fundraiser to give back to the family in their time of need, as they have done for others. Marcia serves as a Paraprofessional at Millridge Elementary School, supporting the special education program. Kevin works as a Key Account Manager at Prince & Izant Company. Three of their children currently attend Ohio University, and all four of the Brandenburg children attended and graduated from the Mayfield City School district. Tatum (MHS class of ‘16) graduated with a double major in Printmaking and Sculpture & Expanded Media from Cleveland Institute of Art in 2020. Abi (MHS class of ‘18) will graduate from OU in 2023, majoring in Applied Mathematics with minors in both Finance and Business Administration. Heath (MHS class of ‘20) is a junior at OU, pursuing majors in Management & Strategic Leadership and Marketing. Colton (MHS class of ‘22) is a freshman at OU pursuing a major in the engineering field. We ask the Mayfield and Gates Mills community to show their support by donating to help the family get back on their feet. 100% of all donations will support the family’s immediate needs related to temporary housing, meals, clothing, and everything that falls in between.
