Books for Ms. Ben's and Mr. B's Classes!

Hi everyone!!
We are lucky enough to spend our days with some pretty amazing young people at Columbia Heights Educational Campus. For our upcoming unit about identity, we would love for our ninth graders to have the opportunity to read the Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett, a powerful novel that features three protagonists of color and a trans character. Not only is the story extremely engaging, but it generates thought-provoking questions about race and gender that would spark meaningful discussion in our classrooms.
In addition to using an online version of the text, we want to provide students with the option of picking up a hard copy of the book that will be theirs to keep!
With all of your help, we are hoping to place an order for 100 books by January 15th.
