Kayode Needs You!!! Bone Marrow Transplant
Kayode is a vibrant young man, who was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia 18 months ago.
About Anaemia:
Anaemia is a condition in which the blood has a lower than normal number of red blood cells. This condition can also occur if the red blood cells don't contain enough haemoglobin (an iron-rich protein that gives blood its red colour). Haemoglobin helps red blood cells carry oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body.
If a person has anaemia, the body doesn't get enough oxygen-rich blood and, as a result, he feels tired, weak and short of breath. With severe or long-lasting anaemia, the lack of oxygen in the blood can damage the heart, brain and other organs in the body. Very severe anaemia may even cause death
His Treatment:
Kayode is currently on a bi-weekly blood transfusion to help him manage his condition. This treatment is in one of the Teaching hospitals in Lagos state Nigeria
He is married with a son who is 9years old; and as you can imagine, the cost of these blood transfusions has dealt a huge dent in the family's income.
Thus Kayode is seeking the goodwill and generosity of the public towards his treatment for a Bone Marrow transplant, which has been recommended by his Consultant, to help him overcome this life debilitating condition.
We would really appreciate any help you can render towards giving my friend a fresh shot at life again.
You can contact him on his email:[email redacted]
Thank you and God bless.
