Our family never imagined we would be sharing something like this, but the past several months have brought one medical crisis after another. My husband, Michael, has been hospitalized multiple times for serious heart complications. During one frightening episode he suffered a heart attack at work and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Doctors later discovered he is in heart failure and that the pressure on his heart was nearly three times the normal limit. Since then he has undergone multiple cardiac procedures and continues to require ongoing treatment. Michael now has another surgery scheduled for March 30.

In the midst of these medical challenges, Michael unexpectedly lost his job after doing everything he could to continue working through his health issues. Because of this, our family will also lose our health insurance on March 31, just as he still needs surgery and continued cardiac care. We have always tried to face hardships privately and push through on our own, so sharing this is incredibly humbling. However, repeated hospitalizations, lost income, and mounting medical expenses have placed us in a position where we need help. Our goal right now is simply to keep our family stable while Michael focuses on healing and preparing for surgery.
