Prince Bola Omoyeni Bereavement Support

I’m setting this page up in memory of my fantastic, courageous and loving father, Prince Bola Omoyeni a.k.a. ‘Skippo’ who passed on April 4th, 2020 during this pandemic. He was an essential worker and was sadly taken away too soon by coronavirus (COVID-19). My Dad was unapologetically African, with the spirit of a warrior and the heart of a King. When the Doctors told us his condition had deteriorated and he probably had only a couple of hours left, he decided to be late for the first time ever and fought for another 13 hours until we were all sound asleep, protecting us as much as he could from the grief of his ascendance to glory. That was how selfless my dad was and how much he loved his wife and sons. From the countless calls, messages and offers of support my mum, brother and I continue to receive, I know this loss is not just mine, so to everyone who is sharing my pain, I thank you, but please do not be down for too long. That is not what he would have wanted. My Dad celebrated life at every opportunity, so we must celebrate in memory of his. My family and I have received offers of financial support, so I have set up this GoFundMe page for this purpose. We also plan to support other families bereaved by the loss of a parent, especially those bereaved as a result of this horrible COVID-19 virus, both in the United Kingdom and in Nigeria.
