My name is Brandon, and I am Javaris and April's cousin as well as a pastor in Louisville, Kentucky. As a family, our hearts are heavy yet filled with hope. Javaris and April’s precious baby boy, Azariah, has gone to be with Jesus. His time here was short, but his life was full of love, and he will forever be remembered as part of our family.

Javaris and April have faithfully poured themselves out as pastors, serving the Lord and ministering diligently to others. Now, in this season of grief, it is our turn to pour back into them. Along with their daughter Thea, they made countless trips to and from the hospital, praying and believing every step of the way. Those trips carried both emotional weight and practical costs, including the wear and tear on their vehicles.

This GoFundMe was not their idea. They are not ones to ask for help for themselves. But as their cousin, and as someone who has seen their faith and sacrifice firsthand, I felt led to do this on their behalf. The funds will help provide them with the opportunity to take a trip together to rest and process, and will also help cover the costs from the many hospital visits.

We know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that He will bring peace and healing. If you feel led to give, thank you. If you can share this, thank you. And most of all, please continue praying for Pastors Javaris and April, and for little Thea, as they walk through this season.
