Blair Tanner Final Care Expenses

On Wednesday, August 22nd, Blair Tanner was rushed to the emergency room with a horrible migraine as a result of Severe Whiplash after being rear-ended in a car accident a few weeks prior. Quickly after getting to the hospital, he became unresponsive to medical staff who had rushed him back for an MRI. After two open heart surgeries in the past, his health has always been a top priority. The MRI revealed that Blair had a very large bleed that shifted his brain. He was flown to Banner Thunderbird for emergency brain surgery to stop the bleeding. While in surgery, they found old blood signifying he had been bleeding for at least two weeks, which would explain his constant headaches since the accident. The pressure in his brain was so bad, it caused him to have a stroke on the way into surgery. The stroke caused the middle and left side of his brain (which controls all of his motor functions) to stop functioning completely. If Blair was fortunate enough to have woken up, he wouldn't remember his wife of 26 years, 6 kids, or 12 grandchildren. He would not have been able to see, speak, read, write, or walk. We knew this is not the life Blair would have wanted to live. After 5 days in the hospital (with his two final days without life support) and with his entire family surrounding him, holding him, and telling him that we loved him, he took his final breath. Blair Tanner passed away Sunday, August 26th at 8:13 PM. 

In lieu of flowers and other very appreciated gestures, our family would be very grateful with any help in donations to assist instead with the medical and cremation bills, We thank all of those who have helped already and are keeping Blair and his family in their thoughts and prayers. We miss him dearly but are happy he is no longer in pain and did not continue in a life lacking quality.
