Black Trans Couple in Urgent Need of Housing Funds

Hello, our names are Zion and Nyne and we are currently in a sudden crisis. Nyne's mother (our source of living) is now moving due to her job undergoing the process of being purchased and soon (as in 07/15). Nyne has just started their drag king career here in Houston and can't afford to start over elsewhere; I recently acquired a (low-paying) job working for my school after we both have been searching for months. With such short notice and with either of our jobs not paying a livable wage we are struggling to come up with the funds needed to secure housing. We do not have a support system from our families due to being trans individuals and our differences in beliefs.

We aren't welcomed in the work environment either because of us being neurodivergent. Nyne struggles with BPD, I struggle with Tourette's Syndrome and Autism, and we both have our hands full with ADHD. In just this year alone, I had to leave three completely unrelated jobs because my employers refused to provide the accommodations I would need to work in the environment they were putting me in. For example, I would cause harm to other people, work equipment, and myself if I were to have a Tourette episode.

I applied for disability in February but was declined due to a lack of documentation. We cannot get the psychological assessments completed, nor any psychological help, due to its cost and lack of insurance. Unfortunately, I am incapable of applying for things such as insurance and food stamps because I am considered dependent under my mother, who will not help us in our hour of need and uses financial manipulation as leverage to control me.

We are now stuck behind a brick wall created by our families and a society not built for minorities such as us. Any little bit helps and is appreciated.
