Please Help Send a Boy To Camp

When my son was in middle school he had an experience that changed his life for the better in so many ways.  He was introduced to the amazing philosophy that is embraced by Birchrock Camp for Boys in Waterford, Maine.  This summer camp embraces it's motto of "Help the Other Fellow" and teaches young men this life lesson.

Several years ago I was given the opportunity through the gracious and generous support of family, friends, colleagues and the camp itself to send a few young men each season to the camp.  I work with an immigrant population at my school that only knows "camp" as "refuge camp".  These boys learned to play without fear and just be kids for a short time.

I find it difficult to ask for help but so many of you ask me if I will do this again so you can contribute.  I am so grateful to you for your kindness.  Now, more than ever, we need to share our resources and love with each other.  Thank you for considering this labor of love!
