Bill's Healing Journey - Requires a Lot of Energy!

Donation protected
As of April 8, 2024, below is a quick lead-in to my present healing journey:

Above is a rather humorous picture of me. Healing requires a lot of ENERGY!

My spirits are still high even though the healing process is taking much longer than I/we anticipated. As I have written several times, I am working hard to regain the complete use of my left arm. You can see if you look closely that the left shoulder is in an unnaturally raised position because it healed incorrectly.

I am wearing the compression glove on my left hand to be able to grip things properly and firmly. You cannot see it but I am also wearing a compression back brace which helps with my posture and a feeling of a stronger core. The back brace definitely helps with my overall balance as well.

In summary, I am working hard to get my life back and taking this healing journey one day at a time.

Thank you again for your donations and your support.

PREVIOUS LEAD-IN

As of 12/29/2023, here is the situation with my healing battle.

The x-rays of my broken left arm and shoulder showed damage greater than initially determined AND then my dislocated shoulder healed incorrectly meaning a little below where it should have been positioned. As a result, my motion with my arm is limited as follows: the movement forward and upward is maybe 75%; the movement to the side and upward is maybe 45%; and the movement backwards is maybe 30%. The ability of my left arm to lift anything is limited to maybe 15 pounds but even that has to be very controlled with little side to side movement. My right arm is fine and I use it to hold heavy items and the left arm just kind of balances the weight. That allows me to do most daily tasks.

The PT guys gave me 16 exercises to perform on a daily basis to increase the movement and strength of my left arm with guidance of what to do if I experience any pain while performing those exercises. So with those "rules or guidance" I am able to do most of the exercises 4 times a week.

Those exercises will help regain flexibility and strength in the arm as well as eliminating the pain that some simple everyday movement causes. As I have said before "It is what it is" and I will work though it.

As I wrote in my 12/27/2023 update listed below, I am committed to working very hard to get my life back and to get as much movement back in my arm as I can. I am prepared to work though the year 2024 and beyond, as necessary, to accomplish that goal.

But I will still need financial assistance throughout the year to keep up the supply of health products needed to provide healing nutrients and LifeWave patches for pain relief as well as other health supplements necessary to keep up my energy level and my healing capability. Rest assured that your donations will be greatly appreciated by Rachel and me and well used in my healing journey.

Thank you for your continued support and donations in the past and into 2024.

Godspeed,
Bill and Rachel

Rachel L. Neumann, Bill's wife of 29 years, wrote in 2020:

Bill has always been a vibrant, healthy and strong man, even at his current age of 77. He was very active, achieving a second degree black belt, skiing, biking, and generally just keeping himself very fit by lifting weights and using the Total Gym several times a week.

In August 2019, Bill entered into the darkest period of his life. After the death of our daughter following her metastatic breast cancer long battle, Bill became very anxious and eventually was unable to urinate. After several rushes to the Emergency Room late in October and early November, Bill was diagnosed on Nov. 14 with Necrotizing Fasciitis (NF), a very serious and critical infective process that resulted when an abscess ruptured over his liver area and compromised the living tissues of his right side oblique muscle with flesh eating bacteria.

We are a strong couple, however, we find ourselves in the midst of the greatest challenge of our lives. Bill is being tested and stretched in every possible way physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially. Some people prepare their whole lives for a test like this one and Bill is certainly no exception. I am not sure anyone could have been prepared for the stress and intensity of losing a daughter and also a life-threatening illness at the same time.

We experienced many scary moments during the estimated 25 surgical procedures since mid-November. Bill confronted tachycardia, stress ulcers, his heart being shocked into rhythm twice, bleeding in an artery in the colon, skin grafting and being intubated with a breathing tube for over four weeks.

Medicare and supplemental insurance cover wound care and surgical interventions and for that we are very grateful. There is, however, so much more needed in creating the building blocks necessary to fully support Bill’s healing journey. We have chosen to coordinate nutritional and metabolic healing in conjunction with the power of medical wound care and surgical intervention. Mounting health care costs are continuing to occur for home health, physical and occupational therapy, acupuncture, and the host of nutritional components necessary for physical restoration.

Hopefully, we will see amazing healing of both wound sites and we will be able to share our story of prayer, miracles, and the power of healing with minerals and Redox Signaling Molecules with the world through my Empowered Living blog and my Your Pathway To Empowerment coaching practice and Mineral Sanity & Health Facebook group.

Bill and I will be grateful for whatever donation can be made to help us navigate this very challenging time as we support the restoration of Bill’s foundational health. Updates on Bill's healing journey will be posted so you can follow us on our journey. Please feel free to share our GoFundMe link with others who may be able to help us or who would be interested in hearing Bill's healing story.
