Robert James Oaks, age 38, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018.  He was born January 22, 1980, in Provo, Utah to Cheryl Ann Crawley.  He was a 1998 graduate of Timpview High School, served an LDS mission, and studied at Virginia Military Institute.  His friends all know him as Big Rob, his smile was as broad as his shoulders. He had a contagious laugh, a grandiose personality, and gave the best bear hugs around. He lit up every room with warmth, kindness, and positivity.  Robert put his family first, and was a loyal friend to many. Robert and his Uncle Phil were often times inseparable, and frequently called to serve - especially when it involved moving or heavy lifting. We will always carry the precious memories of Robert in our hearts. He is survived by his girlfriend Karen Dursteler and her two sons, Quinton and Hayden; his siblings Clinton R. Oaks, Amber K. Oaks, Tiffany L. Oaks, Christian C. Oaks, Rebecca J. Oaks their spouses; nephew Brayden J. Oaks; his grandmother Barbara N. Crawley; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Donations will go toward funeral expenses, medical expenses, and debts.  Any additional funds will go to family members and Karen.
