Hello Everyone, My name is Mike Gallegos. My son's name is MIKE GALLEGOS JR aka BIG MIKE 15 years old. On September 8,2023 my son was Diagnosed with Leukemia. Rushed to the ER admitted very rapidly with surgery on the 9th & 10th followed by 1st session of CHEMO. It happened so fast My family and I are still tryn to take take it all in. We are now on day 7. Multiple surgeries, and over 6 CHEMO sessions. It has been a very harsh week for us all. Big Mike has always been a TEAM PLAYER. He played for St John Berchmans CYO for Over 6 yrs. He has played Football & Baseball for CYO, HOLYCROSS, POP WARNER all his life and PLAYED HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL @ Stevens High School were he and his sister DELILAH ATTEND . HE HAS ALWAYS HAD THAT ABILITY AND MOTIVATION TO ALWAYS WIN till this day today. HE IS VERY EXHAUSTED AT THIS POINT but At the same time he SAYS HE WILL BEAT THIS cancer and move forward. Few More surgeries & lots of chemo ahead of us all. We all know that we have a very long journey ahead of us, including medical/illness expenses and god knows what is ahead of us. Doctor says 2 yr road to recovery. It hurts my heart to see my son suffering like this, and to think of all the kids that have to deal with this , its just so heart breaking. WITH HIGH SPIRITS and With lots of love from friends and family , community support and the world prayers we will keep the faith and pray to Help BIG MIKE beat his fight w LEUKEMIA
