Overcoming cancer; recovery

Never would I have thought I’d be making a post like this but here I am. Last month I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer. Treatment for my diagnosis is a hysterectomy. Surgery was done on 05/21/2025. Recovery is about 4-6 weeks according to my Doctor. Because I haven’t been at my job for a full year I don’t qualify for FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act). I have applied for short term disability however there is no guarantee it will be approved. Even if approved it would not kick in for two weeks and then would only be 60% of my pay. In addition to everything I’m already stressing about there is no guarantee that my job will be held for me. Unfortunately bills and responsibilities don’t stop when you find yourself in these types of situations. I am not one to usually ask for help in any aspect of my life but here I am.
