One Sunday morning as we are getting ready to go to church, my wife had a terrible pain in her back. My wife said we are going to the E.R., I can't stand this back pain any more. We arrived at the E.R. and they take her to get a scan. Later they came back and informed us that there are 2 large masses, one in the large intestine and the other in the abdomin plus 3 dots on the liver. She said from her experience it looks like cancer. After several tests and a biopsy it was confirmed that it was "Mucinous Adenocarcima cancer" from the colon. It is a rare and rapid spreading cancer. While in the hospital for 2 weeks they removed 2 feet of her large intestine that contained a tumor of 9 cm ( the tumor was tested and was also confirm stage 4 cancer) and some lymph nodes were also removed. She will be starting chemo April 24, 25, 26 for 5 hours each day and will have 21 days in between for a total of 4 cycles before the next scan.
