Jeff's loss of bees & income
Donation protected
I was encouraged to up the amount a little bit because i did not forward all of the injury. I also forgot that the bee stands and a few other things were left at work and others wanted to do donations. In a singular word, BEES. Many of you know in May, 2017 Jeff was seriously hurt at work. He broke his right hand in several places. Ultimately it tore out both sides of his wrist, ruined the DeQuairvane, tore both sides of elbow up, tore the rotator cuff in half and labrum was torn and frayed. He had just begun a groundbreaking way of splitting hives that would be of great help in reducing hive loss and it was working....until the injury. Slowly, due to 3 surgeries, pain and inability to continue his beekeeping responsibilities we went from 7 hives to 1. At $175 per hive and the absurdity of being on leave of absence w/o pay, it is difficult. If we can not purchase new hives in the next 48 hours we will never recoup what was lost and what we will lose in the future. If you are aware of the bee situation then no need for explanation. If you are close to Jeff you know the hell he has been through. As his wife I am begging you to consider a donation of as much as you can. For those who know how difficult it is for me to EVER ask for help you understand the humility in having to ask. God bless!!!
