Think about how many times you have looked around and noticed the litter problem on Long Island. It is extreme and has undeniable, negative impacts on the land where we live. We simply cannot be expected to continue living this way. There seems to have been a lack of resources or a firm commitment to putting an end to the problem. Well... Beautify L.I. is poised for action and ready to lead the charge in getting the job done.

Donations to this campaign already afforded us the ability to establish Beautify L.I. as a standalone Federal 501(c)(3). Now, we're starting a radio show to raise awareness and engagement to support our mission, and looking to put our first branded vehicles in the Beautify L.I. Street Fleet on the road this year. We're committed to cleaning up the unsightly and harmful litter across Long Island, while educating our community members about the detriments of litter (pushing into schools and attending community events) and generating widespread media attention to truly start making a significant impact in our region.

It's a simple philosophy. We've all seen places that don't have this problem and, therefore, know that it's an achievable goal.

We are already serving our community, but our goal is to develop and scale this initiative. That starts with boots on the ground, regularly cleaning up our roadways, parks, shopping centers, etc. Then, as interested corporate sponsors see our movement taking shape, they're going to pledge as well, leading us to full-time staff support, more vehicles in our fleet, and greater interest from local business owners and volunteers to do their part as well. Our network of residents and local business owners will be committed to this cause, day in and day out, year-round. This is how we plan to influence positive, long-term social transformation and keep our beautiful island clean. We would love for you to be a part of it.
