It’s with a heavy and hopeful heart that I’m reaching out for support at this time. A dear friend of mine, someone many of you know amd love, is currently unhoused in Modesto, CA, struggling with addiction and the emotional and mental challenges that come with it. She is also pregnant and without access to stable shelter, medical care, or identification leaving her and her baby extremely vulnerable.

The one piece of good news we now have is that we know exactly where she is. We no longer need to search for her. Instead, our focus is on getting to her quickly, bringing her to safety, and helping her access the medical and supportive care she urgently needs.

I will be flying from Portland to Modesto to meet her where she is, and then traveling back with her by train so she can receive immediate medical care in Portland. I will stay with her for about a week to stabilize her situation and help her get connected to essential services. Once she is medically cleared and ready, we will fly her to Idaho, where she will have access to treatment, community support, and a safer long-term environment to rebuild her life.

We are asking for financial support to help cover the practical and urgent expenses ahead, including:

• Flights to Modesto

• Train travel back to Portland with her

• Lodging while we support her transition

• Immediate medical and basic care

• Flights to safely relocate her to Idaho

• And eventually, a vehicle to ensure she can get to and from treatment, outpatient services, and work. Something essential for her long-term stability and independence

She has touched so many lives with the light of her love. She has always shown up for others with compassion, generosity, and a heart that never stops giving. Now, with the web of support we are building together, I hope we can help her in the way she truly deserves. My deepest wish is that we can return to her even a fraction of the care, love, and warmth she has so freely shared with everyone in her world.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward her care, transportation, basic needs, and safe transition into stability. We will continue to share updates as we are able while protecting her privacy and dignity. In order to insure full transparency and allocation of your donation, all funds will be managed by myself and Taylor. It's important to us that every contribution is utilized responsibly and goes exactly where it is needed.

As winter approaches and her pregnancy continues, the urgency is real. Any support whether through donating or sharing means more than we can express. Other ways to share might be airline vouchers or miles.
