Hello! I'm Clark, a student at Ithaca College producing a senior thesis short called Beautiful Demons directed by Shai Altheim and written by AJ Preston, and we're looking for your help into bringing these demons to life.

Beautiful Demons came out of a desire to showcase how different society sees disabilities of any kind to the people living with those disabilities. Physical, mental, developmental, all visible or invisible disabilities affect the lives of the disabled and the people who surround them. This film isn't about the people's reaction about the disability. Rather, how the dissonance between society and oneself is set up and baked into our daily lives.

About the Film

Kate is haunted by a literal demon, but that's not the worst part about her life. She has a dead-end job, no resemblance of a social life, and struggles to make it to the end of each day without self-hatred. She has a friend, Marlon, but most of her time is taken up by her mother Geraldine, siblings Rob and Jessie, and the local priest Father Callum, who all insist that an exorcism would help her. (Even if Kate doesn't think so.)

After one grisly night involving her demon possessing Kate and harming Geraldine, she visits Father Callum for an exorcism. The exorcism fails after an altercation between the demon and Father Callum, leading Kate to accept the demon and herself.
