As you may be aware, last night my brothers tiny home burned down.
Thankfully, he, his beloved dog Phoebe, and my mom were all in the main house at the time. Phoebe became restless and alerted my family to the fire that had started.
Not only was this my brother and Phoebe’s home, it was his creative space and workshop. Beau has always been entrepreneurial and enjoyed various forms of creative expression. Recently he’s been focusing his creativity on making instruments, art and was expanding his clothing business by adding new equipment to his shop. My brothers and mom all held a booth at the powwow and they had stocked up for the craft sale this weekend. Unfortunately all the stock has been lost.
Aside from losing all the business equipment and stock, he lost all his personal belongings as well. Clothing, photos, furniture, electronics, musical instruments, everything.
To help get back on his feet and buy some basic needs like clothing, a bed and other basic needs, we’d appreciate a small donation.
Miigwetch, for taking time to read this, and chi-Miigwetch to everyone who has reached out, stopped by and sent well wishes. Miigwetch as well to the Selwyn Fire Dept, volunteer firefighters, APS, and the disaster relief for providing a hotel for the night.
