Karen's California Clinical Trial

In the spring of 2014 I was diagnosed with Stage 3B lung cancer even though I have never smoked in my life. Chemotherapy and radiation have helped shrink the cancer, but it gradually began to grow again. 

Now I have the chance to be in a medical study at the University of California, Irvine that exactly pinpoints my type of cancer (Ros1 mutation). 

We are excited, but it means I have to fly to California and stay there for four weeks in the beginning, then return every month for two years.  Yikes!  Since we've been battling cancer for three years already, resources are getting thin.

But friends all over the world have said they want to help, so we hope this page makes it easy.   

We are overwhelmed by the love, prayers and encouragement we have received.
