This is Bean, the most playful, most loving, most amazing pup I could ever ask for. Bean is my first dog, who has been by my side for 4 years now, and right now he needs me by his side more than ever. On Sunday, September 14th, 2025, he was diagnosed with the dreaded IVDD. Everything moved so fast. On Saturday he was running free at the park. Then Sunday morning, he became paralyzed in his hind legs. It broke my heart seeing him go through what he went through that Sunday, it was the toughest day of both of our lives. Thankfully, we got him the care he needed in time, thanks to the wonderful veterinarians at Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center. After discovering a herniated disc in his spine, he underwent spinal surgery to hopefully fix him up. He made it through surgery like a champ, and is recovering in the hospital until it's time for him to come back home. My family and I know this is just the beginning of a very long, and very hard recovery.

Not only is this an intense situation emotionally, but also financially. Any contribution towards Bean's recovery will be deeply appreciated.
