Be A Beacon of Hope:
Help Muhammad and Sahar Rebuild Their Dreams
I don't know where to start, but I will tell my story from the beginning
I am Muhammad Khaled, I am 23 years old. I work as a mobile application engineer. My days were beautiful, starting at 6 in the morning I would wake up, prepare myself for work, then go to work with enthusiasm and happiness.
Then my life moved to a more beautiful and happiest date on August 15, 2023. On this day, I got married to Sahar, who is also an engineer, and my life was moving towards happiness and hope day after day, and I was preparing myself for my wedding date until October 7, 2023 came which marked the beginning of the most violent war I have ever faced in my life, or even the most violent in modern times.
The real tragedy and psychological and social destruction occurred on 10/9/2023, as this date witnessed the bombing of my home and my family’s home on the second day of the war, and I felt the suffering from the beginning of this war extending to the present time in 2024.
Before the war, we were happy in our home eating the most delicious and wholesome food. We were healthy in our body and soul. We had friends and had times that we waited impatiently to do what we loved.
Then we move on to now - a displaced people which is all of Palestine.
Since October 9th, I have been displaced 3 times inside my home city and now I live in a tent on the seashore under the blazing sun.
In Gaza, there is no food but crumbs.
There is no happiness or anything else in life.
We hear martyrs screaming by the hundreds.
The martyrdom of a dear friend.
Martyrdom of a cousin.
The martyrdom of our neighbor who was kind.
The martyrdom of your teachers or the unlawful detention of our university professor.
Every day we hear about these stories and see destruction in our city, making it uninhabitable due to the widespread destruction. Our inner despair and loss of hope in life, in every sense of the word, increases.
Imagine that our existence has become a nightmare that we want to wake up from, but realize that this is the reality we are actually experiencing. The days felt like months. I might die 1,000 times a day from fear, pain, and lack of food.
This is my story in short. Help me live a decent life. Help me find another, better opportunity to support my family. Donations will be used to create a new home, replace the tools we need to return to work, to secure food, water and medical care.
Invest hope by donating and helping us rebuild our lives and dreams when we can get on the otherside of this nightmare we are living today. Help us make it to safety alive.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Please don't give up on Palestine.
May peace be upon us all soon,
Muhammed and Sahar
