Birthday Gift for May to Help with Hurricane Helene Cleanup

Dearest friends and family of May,

Our dear friend, along with her husband Jon and their two sons, recently moved to Asheville, NC—a place they hoped to call home and grow their family business. Unfortunately, Hurricane Helene hit hard, leaving them and their community facing immense challenges. While they are grateful to be safe, they are now dealing with significant obstacles: no power in their neighborhood, uncertain water restoration that could take months, and massive trees fallen all around their property. The daily necessities we often take for granted—food, gas, water—have become struggles, compounded by the loss of income as their Airbnb business has come to a halt.

May and Jon have been tirelessly working to clear their land, but the task is overwhelming. Professional tree removal is prohibitively expensive, and doing it all by hand is exhausting, especially with their younger son feeling unwell. Despite these hardships, they've found strength in their community, coming together to support one another in remarkable ways. We want to extend that spirit of support by helping them purchase the chainsaws and resources they need to begin the cleanup around their home.

As May celebrated her birthday a few days ago, it'd be superhuman of us if we could come together to give her a gift that truly counts.
