Bangladesh Solidarity Fundraiser

We are Bristol based community groups - Bangladeshi Bristol Women's Group, Bristol Solidarity Café and One Green Kitchen - and are fundraising to support flood affected areas of Bangladesh.

The flooding has been politically caused with dams being opened during the night, costing numerous lives, housing, livestock, crops and more.

Bangladesh is a country of the Global South that already suffers from the impacts of the climate crisis, making it ever vulnerable to land erosion and the displacement of a large number of people.

Following the recent student uprising for political reform in Bangladesh, which saw many lives lost and casualties across the country, the flooding becomes an additional obstacle to national stability.

Funds will be going to Bangladesh based Ilman Nafiya Foundation to distribute to affected areas and communities in country.
