Our son Brayden was born premature with severe pulmonary valve stenosis . He is 8 months old and is now about to have his first open heart surgery on May 4th. (Procedure- Closure of a single ventricular septical defect & opening pulmonary valve)The surgery is our sons only hope at living through his very first birthday. His heart at this point only functions between 10 and 15% Brayden's heart surgery can only be done at DUKE, which is about 3 hours from our home. We have about 2 weeks from when we got a surgery date to prepare for the travel. Between taking time off from work and paying for all the gas and food expenses so soon, we are struggling to get our finances in line. Any help for our gas and food would be extremely appreciated.
